DuoLingo
Quick, bite-sized lessons, you’ll earn points and unlock new levels while gaining real-world communication skills. We use a combination of research-backed teaching methods and delightful content to create courses that effectively teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills! M.V.’s entire family is working on their streaks so as not to disappoint the green owl! (Beginner)
Coursera & EdX
These two platforms host thousands of courses from leading global universities. With a little searching, you are likely to find a course (or series of them!) that will supplement any study of foreign language. (All levels)
Quizlet
More than flashcards, the platform has 300 million learners sharing content and using Quizlet’s practice tests, Expert Solutions and AI-powered tools to improve their grades and reach their goals. Do a little searching, and you will almost certainly find a set that matches your language learning level. (All levels)
Voice of America
While perhaps not intentionally a source for learning foreign language (though it has a LOT of them, especially less common ones), M.V.’s teacher once assigned the daily newscasts for listening practice. The articles are great reading practice as well as listening comprehension checks! (Advanced)
