Our work protects and empowers people – from abolishing the death penalty to protecting sexual and reproductive rights, and from combatting discrimination to defending refugees and migrants’ rights.

Human Rights Watch

Investigates and reports on abuses happening in all corners of the world. We are roughly 550 plus people of 70-plus nationalities who are country experts, lawyers, journalists, and others who work to protect the most at risk, from vulnerable minorities and civilians in wartime, to refugees and children in need. We direct our advocacy towards governments, armed groups and businesses, pushing them to change or enforce their laws, policies and practices.

“A Global Movement to Change the World,” we connect Global Citizens and artists to call on world leaders, corporate leaders, and philanthropists to do their part. Includes an app that combines education with involvement in an interactive format.

Our World in Data

The goal of our work is to make the knowledge on the big problems accessible and understandable. Our World in Data’s mission is to publish the “research and data to make progress against the world’s largest problems”.
